The Flash is finally giving Ezra Miller's Barry Allen his own movie, but recent rumours claim that the film will completely remove Zack Snyder's DC vision.
The actor has addressed these assumptions by responding to a fan on his personal Instagram. Reddit user, u/thatwasagoodone5598, grabbed a screenshot of the response, laying rest to the claims.

Ezra Miller Discusses Whether The Flash Will Reset Zack Snyder's Universe
These initial claims stemmed from the fact that the DC movie is adapting the popular Flashpoint storyline.
This has led many to believe that The Flash will mark the last appearance for Ben Affleck's Batman and would be replaced by Michael Keaton's version. With the introduction of several other superheroes like Supergirl, fans have been worried that Snyder's foundation would be made redundant.
But the Scarlet Speedster himself bluntly assured fans that the film will not and can never "erase" Zack Snyder's work.
This is good news for all you Snyder fans out there! But it's clear that Warner Bros. Pictures will not continue with the filmmaker's original story arc, despite the success of Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Several characters are heading in unique directions, with Matt Reeves' The Batman introducing a completely different take on the Caped Crusader. While Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom continues Jason Mamoa's journey, films like Batgirl are set to establish new heroes on screen.
Personally, I think we should think less about the idea of a DC Extended Universe. It's evident that filmmakers are being given creative freedom to add their own twists to these characters and are less tied down to an overarching story - Joker heavily enforced this shift. Both DC and Marvel are each establishing their own legacy and doing so in their own ways.
