There are a variety of character classes in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. You can choose from any of the class types on offer to create your own Fatemaker (the epic hero of the game). Each class type has its own unique characteristics and abilities, so it's worth knowing about each one before you make your choice.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is an action role-playing first-person shooter game that focuses on a chaotic adventure through a tabletop realm created by Tiny Tina. There will be magic, mystery, mayhem, and skeleton pirates drinking while having a bath. So, making a character that suits you can make it easier to defeat them. We're going to show you everything you need to know about the class types, their abilities, and their perks in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
The realm of Wonderlands is a chaotic and mysterious place, but we have some guides that can help you enjoy your time there. Check out our Ward Guide to learn how to protect yourself and our breakdown of the Season Pass if you want even more content.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Class Types - Abilities and Perks
Stabbomancer
A Stabbomancer is the class that focuses heavily on blade-based combat combined with spellcasting. Stabbomancers are good at utilising any opportunities given to them to get the upper hand in combat. If there is nothing good for them to use, they'll simply make it themselves.
In the trailer where we first meet this class, you get a glimpse at a few of their abilities. The first one is the "Ghost Blade" ability. This is an area of effect spell that causes damage to the target enemy and anything close to it. The next ability is "From the Shadows" and this one is essentially a steal mode. While a Stabbomancer is using this ability, their damage is increased.
Action Skills
- Ghost Blade: Slice up any enemies that dare to get too close to you.
- From the Shadows: Go into stealth mode to sneak up on an enemy or to position yourself for a deadly shot.
Skills
- Follow Up: This skill increases the damage of your melee attacks when your gun deals damage to enemies.
- Elusive: You can run and gun (sprint and shoot) at your top speed. The faster you're running, the easier it will be for you to dodge incoming attacks.
- Executioner's Blade: This gives you the chance of summoning a larger ethereal blade when you land critical hits with your guns or spells.
Brr-Zerker
The Brr-Zerker is a class that likes to smash objects with their weapons and they seriously lack subtlety. They seem to focus heavily on melee attacks with big weapons such as an axe or a hammer. Also, they can channel frost into their weapons to freeze enemies and smash them like ice cubes. If that wasn't intimidating enough, Brr-Zerkers can take the life force of fallen enemies using a bit of magic.
Brr-Zerkers may be a good class to pair with Spore Wardens. Brr-Zerkers focus more on hand-to-hand combat while Spore Wardens are better suited to ranged combat.
Action Skills
- Dreadwind: Become a whirling, swirling, and deadly tornado of damage.
- Feral Surge: Hurl yourself at an enemy with a dangerous Frost explosion.
Skills
- Ice Breaker: Once an enemy is "slowed" (feeling the side-effect of Frost damage), you can inflict an increased amount of damage on them.
- Blast Chill: Gives you the chance to create a Frost Nova with melee attacks - essentially turning your melee weapon into a giant, destructive wrecking device.
- Blood of the Fallen: This is a Kill Skill. The cooldown rate of your Action Skill is reduced each time you defeat an enemy.
Spellshot
Spellshots are wizards with guns. They combine their magical skills with their epic aim to become a deadly threat to anyone who opposes them. They can equip two spells at once. Spellshots also have the "Polymorph" ability. Have you ever been fighting a tough enemy in a game and wished you could turn them into something easier to kill? Well, a Spellshot can do just that! When they use this ability, they can turn any enemy into a Skeep.
Action Skills
- Ambi-Hextrous: This lets you equip a second skill to your existing Action Skill slot.
- Polymorph: You can turn a tough enemy into an easy target.
Skills
- Magic Bullets: Some of your Spell Damage can be transferred to your guns.
- War Caster: This is a kill skill. When you defeat an enemy, there is a chance that your weapon will instantly reload.
- Sever the Thread: Your Spell cooldown rate may reset when you land critical hits with your guns.
Clawbringer
Clawbringers are a class that really like their hammers. They can channel the elements of thunder and fire through their hammer to use against their enemies. Clawbringers are a great class to have as part of your team as they have an ability that affects their teammates. Their "Dragon Aura" instantly enhances and boosts the fire damage of their teammates. Clawbringers can smash their hammer on the ground to use devastating fire attacks against surrounding enemies. Also, they can simply whack their enemies with their gigantic hammer and watch them go flying into the air or each other.
If you choose to use this class, you'll not be alone. Clawbringers also get a companion in the form of a very cute little dragon. This little Wyvern will claw at anyone who tries to hurt their friend and will toast them with their flames.
Action Skills
- Cleansing Flame: Toast the enemy!
- Storm Dragon's Breath: Throw your Hammer and combine it with a devastating lightning attack.
Skills
- Dragon Aura: Increases all elemental damage for yourself and your teammates
- Storm Breath: Your little Wyvern friend hurls electricity attacks that spread between enemies.
- Indomitable: When you're downed, your Ward will refill and you'll gain a boost to your lightning damage.
Graveborn
Graveborns are death-touched and they can sacrifice some of their own health to do powerful Dark Magic attacks. In the trailer where we're introduced to this class, you get a glimpse at another one of the Graveborn's abilities. Dire Sacrifice will allow them to deal Dark Magic damage to all nearby enemies if they sacrifice 20% of their health.
Also, they can become the Reaper of Bones. When they are in their Reaper of Bones state, Graveborns can:
- Gain Bonus Life Steal.
- Gain Bonus Magic Damage (for a period of time)
However, while they are in this state their health will continuously drain. This means it's probably best to use this ability only when necessary.
This class will not be alone on the battlefield, they have their own Demi-Lich companion! When a Graveborn casts any spell during a fight, it will trigger the Demi-Lich to cast their own unique spells. Kill Skills can also be triggered to summon helpers (demons) to the fight.
Action Skills
- Dire Sacrifice: Give up your health to gain power.
- Reaper of Bones: You are turned into an unkillable killing machine (temporarily). If you somehow die in this state, you get some health back while becoming briefly unkillable.
Skills
- Faithful Thralls: You can have increased damage for each companion you have.
- Dread Covenant: If you get damaged, some of that will go to your Demi-Lich. If you're on the verge of death, your companion will sacrifice itself for you.
- Lord of Edges: You gain increased damage dealt and incoming damage is decreased the closer you are to dying.
Spore Warden
A Spore Warden is a master of nature. They can summon tornadoes (including frost tornadoes) to use against enemies. Spore Wardens specialise in Guns and Companions. This class type will enhance the abilities of any and all of its teammates/allies. Having a Spore Warden in your team will be beneficial.
In the trailer where we're introduced to this class, we get a glimpse of one of their abilities. The ability is called "Barrage of Arrows" and with this ability, a Spore Warden can fire seven arrows at once. This will be a useful attack against larger enemies or a crowd of small ones. Another ability we saw in the trailer is the "Blizzard" ability. With this one, the Spore Warden can summon three frost cyclones that actively seek out enemies. It could be useful when you want to expose enemies that are hiding.
If that wasn't enough, you also get a companion in the form of a large sentient Mushroom who looks like a fun-gi!
Action Skills
- Barrage: What's better than one pointy arrow? Seven of them!
- Blizzard: It's cold, it's windy, it's a trio of Frost Cyclones.
Skills
- Spore Cloud: Your little Mushroom friend can create a poisonous fart that lingers to damage enemies.
- Called Shot: The longer you aim down the sight of a gun, the more damage the final shot will inflict.
- Play the Angles: There's a chance for your bullets to spread to multiple enemies when you land critical shots.
What Is the Multiclass System?
When you start the game, you will be able to choose to be one of the six class types on offer. This will be your primary class (this is forever, you cannot change this without starting a new game.) As you progress through the world of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, you'll unlock the multiclass system. This is when you gain another class slot. In this slot, you can start to build your character in more detail. This is known as your secondary class slot.
So far, we know that each class build will include:
- 1 Permanent Class Feat. (This is a passive ability that is always active)
- Action Skills (Only one can be equipped at a time, but you'll be able to switch between all of the ones available to your class build)
- A skill tree filled with passive abilities. (Each time you level up in a skill you earn a skill point to use in your skill tree)
It seems that you will only have one chance to choose your secondary class in the game, so think carefully about how you want to build your character. However, once you have completed the main story of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, you can choose to change your secondary class.
We will update this page as we learn more about the class system and class types.
