Animal Crossing New Horizons' event, Nature Day, arrives in April as it aims to celebrate the real world's Earth Day! Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
First celebrated in 1970, it now includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries. This was one of the first major events in the game's lifespan when it launched last year; so what can we expect during the Nature Day event?

When Is Nature Day?
In 2021, the Nature Day event began on 22nd April in Animal Crossing New Horizons and lasted for two weeks. Earth Day is traditionally celebrated on the 22nd April globally, so the ACNH event and real-world event coincide with each other.
What Is Nature Day?
Nature Day initially introduced Leif the Sloth, a keen gardener who sells shrubs and crops for you to plant and grow in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Players will be expected to engage in activities during Nature Day events and will earn rewards themed around environmentalism.
Nature Day Rewards: Nook Miles Challenges
Here are the challenges that are a part of the Nature Day event. You will earn Nook Miles for completing each of these and helping your island to thrive!
- Craft A Flower Crown - 300 Miles
- Plant Three [specific flower] Bulbs - 200 Miles
- Mail Flowers To Friends - 200 Miles
- Wear A Flower - 150 Miles
- Move A Tree - 100 miles
- Plant A Coconut Tree On The Beach - 150 miles
- Craft A Wreath - 300 miles
- Plant Three Shrubs - 200 miles
