Apex Legends is one of the most popular free-to-play games going, so we're pleased to see the PS5 version is finally drawing closer. While fans can play the PS4 version through backwards compatibility, it appears this new-gen upgrade is finally on the way, as the game’s been spotted on the PSN database.
As spotted by PlayStation Game Size, Apex Legends on PS5 was listed with an 80GB download size. Respawn Entertainment has yet to comment on this, and while this naturally doesn't confirm anything about an Xbox Series X|S version, it looks promising.

Apex Legends PS5 Version Spotted in PSN Database
Currently, we don't know how what enhancements new-gen hardware will bring for Respawn's popular shooter. Steve Ferreira, Respawn's team director, had previously stated 120 FPS performance was a goal, but didn't promise this as a certainty.
Given this appearance, we'd expect an announcement to come sooner rather than later, maybe for the game’s 12th Season. Fans can play the PS4 version of Apex Legends on the PS5 with improved performance. Apex Legends is also available on PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. We'll keep you informed as we hear further details.
