ARK Survival Evolved might not have any major expansions planned to launch in 2022 - Genesis Part 2 was the final expansion - but that doesn't mean Studio Wildcard will stop releasing seasonal events. With this in mind, we should soon see the return of ARK Love Evolved (formerly known as Valentines Day), the game's loved-up celebration of all things Saint Valentine. Once more we should see ARK under Cupid's spell, and you can expect plenty of new rewards and existing content reintroduced. So, when does the next ARK Love Evolved event start? Here's everything you need to know.

ARK Love Evolved 3 Start Time Countdown
31 January 2022 -
Studio Wildcard has announced plenty of new details about the new Love Evolved event in ARK. We've updated this page with the main details, but here's a quick overview of what to expect:
Event Details -
- This event can be manually activated with the server arg parameter: -ActiveEvent=vday
- For the duration of Love Evolved, we will be disabling the world buffs from Baby Boon & Maewing Poach on Genesis Part 2 on the Official Network. In the past, we've adjusted for the impact event have had on the rates by tweaking the bonuses that we use during the holidays, however, those tweaks lead to unfavorable circumstances on maps that aren't Genesis Part 2, so going forward during breeding events, we'll be disabling these mission buffs specifically as not to affect the bonuses on other maps.
Event Activities -
- Valentines Coelacanth can be caught for chibis, chocolates, candies
- Mating can randomly drop chocolates and candies!
24 January 2022 -
Ark Survival Evolved's Lead Community Manager, Cedric, has seemingly confirmed that we'll see our first details about Love Evolved in the game's next community crunch blog post.
These blogs normally drop every Friday night/Saturday depending on your timezone. So we think it's possible the info will drop later this week, with the release planned for mid-February. More to follow, later this week.
11 January 2022 -
We're now roughly one month away from the release of ARK: Love Evolved 3. Given how Studio Wildcard likes to announce new events, we suspect we'll find out some official details for the Love Evolved event during an ARK Community Crunch blog post. We suspect details will arrive with Community Crunch 302, which should be released to fans on February 5, 2020.
When Does The Love Evolved 3 Event Start?
To get an idea of when we can expect to see the next Love Evolved Valentine's event start in 2022, it makes sense to take a look at the previous events for ARK Survival Evolved. Here's a quick reminder of when Love Evolved started and ended in past years:
Event | Start Date | End Date |
---|---|---|
ARK: Valentine's Day | February 14th, 2016 | February 22nd, 2016 |
ARK: Valentine's Day 2 | February 12th, 2017 | February 20th, 2017 |
ARK: Valentine's Day 3 | February 13th, 2018 | February 16th, 2018 |
ARK: Valentine's Day 4 | February 12th, 2019 | February 18th, 2019 |
Love Evolved 2020 | February 11th, 2020 | February 18th, 2020 |
Love Evolved 2021 | February 11th, 2021 | February 18th, 2021 |
Previously the ARK Valentine's event start and end times were a bit more all over the place, but in recent years (as Love Evolved) it's been fairly consistent. As you can see, the ARK Love Evolved event has always typically started on February 11 and ended a week later on February 18th.
Assuming the developers follow the same pattern, we can expect to see the event start on Friday, February 11 2020, and end the following Friday. In addition, these events normally have a start time of 1 PM PST / 9 PM GMT.
