Update - March 2, 2022
Following a brief delay, Battlefield 2042's Update 3.3 has gone live across all platforms. Introducing the new scoreboard, 3.3 also offers the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle, a reward promised to players following 2042's trouble launched.
Speaking in the official patch notes, DICE stated:
“Our next update is presently scheduled to arrive in early April. It will include a larger set of changes and fixes, as well as the introduction of VOIP functionality for Squads, and the refreshed Scoreboard being available during End of Round. We're also targeting balance changes for weaponry on vehicles, including the MC5 Bolte, alongside an overhaul of Attachment behaviour for infantry weapons across the board."

Disappointing news for Battlefield 2042 fans once more, as update 3.3 - which adds the refreshed Scoreboard - has been delayed again. Originally releasing this week, the official Battlefield 2042 forums confirmed that the 3.3 update still needs work, launching next week instead.
Sadly, that's not all, as this forum post also confirmed Weekly Missions will be put on hold. Weekly Missions, the refreshed Scoreboard, and more new content will arrive next week, but it'll be disappointing news for those actively playing.
Battlefield 2042 3.3 Update Delayed to Next Week
Here’s the full quote from lead community manager, Pat Welsh:
Hey Folks. Just a quick note to share that we are now expecting our next game update (Update 3.3) to drop next week. We had intended to release it later this week, but made the decision to hold it back so that we're best positioned to support in case of any issues that might have cropped up over the weekend.
Our decision to release the update next week will mean a further suspension of Weekly Missions, and the system will remain inactive this week. Next week's update will provide new content that will allow us to reenable this feature.
Update 3.3 will introduce a refreshed Scoreboard, incorporating requests from across the Community to update our format to display Deaths alongside Kills, and a team split to help differentiate leaders per team. Thank you for your feedback and suggestions on this, it's deeply appreciated by us all.
Gold Edition, Ultimate Edition, Year 1 Pass Holders, Upgraded edition owners, and EA Play Pro subscribers will also be receiving the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle as shared last month, when this update goes live.
We'll also have a small range of additional fixes live as part of the game update which will be detailed in our Update Notes next week.
Normally, delaying an update wouldn’t see much backlash, but it marks another problem for 2042 in a long string of incidents since its November debut. With the game’s first season also had to be delayed, things are looking tough. Battlefield 2042 now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Stay tuned for more updates.
