While Season 1 Reloaded is looking stacked and full of content, players are having trouble shooting enemies in Black Ops 6 due to a bug that is already been addressed by Treyarch and Raven Software.

However, Call of Duty seemed to be looking at the issue differently, as it stated that the bug is purely visual and described it as "erroneous visual blood effects". Players were quick to mention that it isn't just a visual bug, but is also a matter of hit registration issue.

This resulted in many clips within the community showcasing players just splatting blood everywhere, thanks to the bug. It feels like Call of Duty players are now playing a paintball version of the game with the way the blood splatters around walls and players.

Posted on the game's subreddit, many players share their frustration and the alleged "gaslighting" regarding the bug. Players are seen emptying full magazines without dealing a single amount of damage, making it look like they're shooting a bag of moving Jell-O.

Another Call of Duty fan even mentioned in a separate Reddit post that the game registers the damage client-side but the server has trouble checking whether these are actual damage, probably due to some missing objects or vehicles in the map.

These missing objects are visually absent but can still block the bullets from dealing damage.

Treyarch and Raven Software have added this issue in a Trello card that many players can check. As of writing, there are no updates regarding this issue yet, and players will have to wait for a bit longer before they can move on from shooting paintballs.
