As Season 2 of Vanguard continues to progress, several players have been getting to grips with the latest Assault Rifle (AR) to join the ever-expanding arsenal of weapons. The new season features a wealth of new additions, including two multiplayer maps, new Operators, and three new weapons that can be obtained through the Battle Pass.
One of the new weapons that arrived in Season 1 was the Cooper Carbine, a compact assault rifle (AR) that features "SMG-like properties" including a fast rate of fire and high levels of mobility. The new AR excels in close-range situations and with the right attachments equipped, it can be one of the more versatile weapons on offer. With that said, find the best Cooper Carbine attachments to use and the best Cooper Carbine loadout in this guide!
What Is The Best Cooper Carbine Vanguard Loadout?
Having mastered the Cooper Carbine, this build is more than capable of dominating at close range as well as mid-range engagements. Check out the full loadout below.
Attachment | Name |
---|---|
Muzzle | Recoil Booster |
Barrel | 22" Cooper Custom |
Stock | Cooper 45RS |
Underbarrel | Carver Foregrip |
Magazine | .30 Carbine 45 Round Mags |
Ammo Type | Lengthened |
Rear Grip | Pine Tar Grip |
Proficiency | Vital |
Kit | Fully Loaded |
This set of attachments improves levels of firepower, accuracy, and ammo capacity. While it does decrease levels of mobility, the reduction is hardly noticeable when sprinting around the map.
How To Unlock Cooper Carbine
The process of unlocking the Cooper Carbine in Vanguard is relatively straightforward. Score five headshots with an assault rifle in 15 different completed matches to get your hands on this deadly rifle.
Best Cooper Carbine Vanguard Attachments
This particular combination of attachments slightly decreases mobility levels in favour of significant boosts in firepower and accuracy to ensure that the Cooper Carbine can contest those competitive mid-range gunfights without losing any of its close-range performance.
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: 22" Cooper Custom
- Stock: Cooper 45RS
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: .30 Carbine 45 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
- Proficiency: Vital
- Kit: Fully Loaded
To maximise performance, we've utilised all ten attachment slots to our advantage. The increases in bullet velocity provided by the Lengthened Ammo Type and the Cooper Custom Barrel drastically improve the range of the Cooper Carbine, enabling players to use it against targets that aren't in close proximity. Thanks to the fire rate, we've equipped 45 Round Mags to minimise the need to reload as well as further increases to damage output.
The rest of the build addresses a range of variables including flinch resistance in order to maintain high levels of accuracy when coming under fire from the opposition that may be kitted out with a stronger mid-range weapon.
Best Vanguard Cooper Carbine Perks and Equipment
Once the attachments have been equipped, selecting how the rest of the loadout will function is equally as important. With new Perks arriving in Season 1, there's even more variety to choose from when it comes to creating the best Vanguard loadout.
Perks
- Ninja (Perk 1)
- Forward Intel (Perk 2)
- Lightweight (Perk 3)
To navigate the map as quickly as possible, Ninja is a great way to conceal your location from the opposition thanks to its silent footsteps. Forward Intel is just as useful, enabling you to see exactly where the enemy is spawning on the map. Last and by no means least is Lightweight. Thanks to the Cooper Carbine's excellent mobility, the increased movement speed from this Perk will give you the ability to sprint around the map as quickly as possible.
Equipment
- Lethal: Gammon Bomb
- Tactical: Stim
Gammon Bombs explode on impact, making them a great crutch to fall back on if an enemy suddenly appears in front of you. As you'll be running and gunning, Stim is an essential piece of equipment that will allow you to stay in the heart of the action for longer thanks to its instant health regeneration.
Field Upgrade
- Jammer
Selecting a Jammer may seem like a strange Field Upgrade selection but with the minimap of the opposition blocked off when players walk nearby, it will allow you to take them down with ease before they have any chance to locate you.
Is The Cooper Carbine Good in Vanguard?
Having used it in private matches, I can say that the Cooper Carbine will be an extremely popular weapon for those that love to rush around the map and score high numbers of eliminations over the course of a match. For those that prefer more passive play, there are better options.
That's how to optimise the Cooper Carbine for success in Vanguard multiplayer! For more Vanguard intel, check out how to unlock the Gorenko Anti-Tank sniper rifle.
