Despite possessing immense power, Marksman Rifles aren't the most popular weapon category in Vanguard multiplayer. On most occasions, players gravitate towards an assault rifle (AR) thanks to their superior mobility but with a strong set of attachments, Marksman Rifles are more than capable of making an impact over the course of a match.
One of the new guns arriving as part of the Season 3 update is the M1916, a semi-automatic rifle armed with a "two-hit elimination range" which makes it deadly from any distance. While it packs a lethal punch, its recoil is tricky to tame.
With that said, find the best M1916 Vanguard loadout alongside the best attachments to use in this useful guide packed with how to make the most of the newest addition to the weapon arsenal.

We recommend using a Double Battle Pass XP token or purchasing the premium Battle Pass bundle to unlock the M1916 as fast as possible.
Best M1916 Vanguard Attachments
As with most Vanguard weaponry, the M1916 will feature plenty of attachments to use. Having found a combination that improves various elements of the rifle, this build is deadly in mid-range engagements and enables you to score kills with a single bullet. Here are the best M1916 attachments to use in Vanguard.
- Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
- Barrel: ZP Custom
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Removed Stock
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
- Magazine: 8mm Klauser 40 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Proficiency: Quickscope
- Kit: Fully Loaded
The combination of ZP Custom and Lengthened ammunition provides a huge increase in damage output, guaranteeing high levels of damage are maintained regardless of range. WIth mobility causing a slight drawback, choosing the Removed Stock attachment increases movement speed and improves aim-down sight speed.
Overall, this build is perfect for those that love to run around the map and slay the opposition. With the M1916 in hand, it's very easy to top the scoreboard with the highest number of kills.
Best M1916 Vanguard Perks and Equipment
While we don't know the strongest attachments to use on the M1916, we do know the best set of Perks and Equipment to use in Vanguard multiplayer. Here's what we recommend.
Perks
- Fortified (Perk 1)
- Forward Intel (Perk 2)
- Double Time (Perk 3)
This particular Perk combination is tried and tested after using it with several weapons. Fortified adds some much-needed resistance to any incoming explosives while Forward Intel displays red squares signalling where the opposition is spawning.
Lastly, we've selected Double Time for an increase in Tactical Sprint length. The mobility of the M1916 isn't one of its strengths so having more Tactical Sprint makes navigating the map much easier.
Equipment
- Frag Grenade (Lethal)
- Stun Grenade (Tactical)
It's very difficult to go wrong with the combination of Frag and Stun Grenade. A perfectly cooked Frag is the perfect tool to deal some additional damage while the Stun Grenade can be used to slow the movement of a potential target. Be sure to chase after throwing the Stun before the effects wear off.
Is The M1916 Good in Vanguard?
There's every chance the M1916 will become a popular addition to the Vanguard arsenal thanks to its incredible versatility. With most multiplayer maps containing plenty of long sightlines, the rifle is likely to make an impact in Season 3.
