Marksman rifles have appeared in the Call of Duty franchise since the launch of Ghosts back in late 2013 and since their arrival, the category has bridged the gap between assault rifles and sniper rifles. Often containing a range of semi-automatic weaponry capable of making a huge impact at medium and long distances. With Season 3 of Vanguard well underway, several players are beginning to use these weapons to their advantage.

There are a total of four rifles to use in multiplayer and after spending several hours testing each one, we've managed to create the ultimate tier list for the Marksman rifles in Vanguard. Before we get stuck in, it's important to note that this isn't a ranking of the best weapons, more of an overview of the best Marksman rifles to use.

What Is The Best Vanguard Marksman Rifle?

Since Vanguard's launch, the M1 Garand has been the best Marksman Rifles to use and despite the addition of the M1916, it remains at the top thanks to its high damage and ease of control compared to its counterparts.

S-Tier

The M1 Garand is one of the strongest weapons to counter any kind of rapid-fire assault rifles that may stand in your way over the course of a multiplayer match. The firing mechanism allows players to determine the fire rate of the rifle, and if you've got a fast trigger finger, the M1 Garand packs a deadly punch.

Joining it at the top of the Marksman rifle mountain is the SVT-40. Armed with the ability to take down an opponent with a couple of shots to the head, this rifle possesses more stability than the M1 Garand, making it a sure-fire way to dominate any mid and long-distance duels.

A-Tier

The G-43 does feature the highest rate of fire in the category but can be tricky to control when attempting to engage with an opponent from a distance. The fast fire rate does come in handy when an enemy is in close proximity but the recoil that comes with it puts it just shy of S-Tier.

There you have it, these are the best and worst Marksman rifles to use in Vanguard. For more guides check out the ultimate Vanguard tier lists for the game's assault rifles and LMGs.
