Professional Call of Duty players have taken to Twitter to express their frustration with Activision. The publisher has little support to continue bigger tournaments, leaving the Call of Duty League (CDL) in a bleak situation.
Streamers like Matthew 'NaDeSHoT' Haag, Davis' Hitch' Edwards, Ian' Crimsix' Porter, and others have already pointed out what they call an unfair approach from the publisher. Call of Duty's professional community has seen numerous complaints, including its recent lack of support for the competitive scene, bugs, and a blatant hacker problem.

Call of Duty Issues
It's left the community feeling abandoned, but a fine can be imposed by CDL if pros criticise Call of Duty titles. Many players held back their negative opinions because these penalties were so strict, but it seems that when enough pros do it at once, you can't fine everyone.
Call of Duty is one of the biggest gaming franchises going, so it's hard to imagine why Activision isn't putting more into this title. It's one of the most negatively received titles of recent memory, and it doesn't help that competition's has grown with Battlefield 2042, Halo Infinite, Splitgate, and many more.
However, 2022 could be the year when all of this changes. Due to Activision's silence, we don't know what they're planning. They might release a major update that fixes everything.
What do you think? Is Call of Duty in shambles, or is it just getting ready to shine?
