Activision has sacked a third of their quality assurance contractors at Raven Software. Best known for handling Call of Duty: Warzone and co-developing Black Ops Cold War with Treyarch, Washington Post reports that Raven's QA staff are being called in for meetings between December 3rd-8th, determining whether they'll be promoted or leave.
Reportedly, those being promoted are moving to an increased hourly rate at $18.50, though according to one anonymous contractor speaking with Washington Post, the majority of those meetings have led to dismissals. They confirmed:
I feel hurt and betrayed. The majority of individuals who have had their meetings were fired. ...Everyone was told: 'You did nothing wrong' after being given the bad news.

Activision Sacks QA Workers at Raven Software, Reportedly Promised Them Pay Increase Beforehand
Raven Software's associate community manager, Austin O'Brien, confirmed via Twitter that QA staff "were promised, for months, that Activision was working towards a pay restructure to increase their wages." You can find the full thread below:
The news comes amidst ongoing discrimination and harassment lawsuits against Activision Blizzard. That's recently seen Sony CEO Jim Ryan, Xbox's Phil Spencer and Nintendo's Doug Bowser all condemn Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick's response to those claims, and Geoff Keighley's since confirmed the publisher won't appear at The Game Awards beyond existing nominations.
