BAR
The BAR may not be the best Vanguard assault rifle but thanks to its steady rate of fire and minimal recoil, it's very easy to control in mid-range gunfights which are likely to be hugely competitive in Caldera. Having the rifle at its maximum level is ideal when experimenting with different attachment combinations and is likely to give you the upper hand while everyone attempts to determine the meta.
MP40
The next gun that's likely to prove popular in Caldera is the MP40 submachine gun. Armed with incredible levels of mobility alongside a fast fire rate, this particular SMG has a high chance of slotting into the meta alongside some of the more established names already in the arsenal. With plenty of attachments to suit all styles of play, the MP40 could become a hugely versatile weapon in several in-game scenarios.
Automaton
The third and final Vanguard gun we recommend ranking up is the Automaton assault rifle. Despite its fast fire rate, recoil levels remain at a minimum, which can make all the difference in a long-distance duel. The rifle can be geared towards aggressive and a slower pace, making it a hugely versatile AR that could well dominate the early stages of Season 1.
