Ever since Warzone moved to the Pacific, players continue to ask Raven Software if the classic Verdansk map will ever return to the popular battle royale.
While some players prefer Caldera, many members of the community prefer the old map packed with huge skyscrapers and points of interest resembling classic Call of Duty multiplayer maps. With Season 2.5 on the horizon, it doesn't look like Verdansk will appear on PC and consoles anytime soon but it could return elsewhere.
A leak claims that the map will return in Warzone Mobile with some major differences.
Warzone Mobile Verdansk Map
According to notable Call of Duty leaker 'TheGhostOfHope,' the mobile version of Warzone will feature Verdansk. Rather than an exact copy of the map that featured on PC and consoles, the leaker claims the map will feature a mixture of new and old points of interest, creating a new yet familiar battlefield.
Eagle-eyed players were quick to spot a possible overview of the map within the background of the Clan Battle menu within COD Mobile. If the leaks are true, fans of Verdansk will be in for a treat.
When Does Warzone Mobile Come Out?
Although Activision has confirmed Warzone Mobile is in development, details on a release date haven't appeared yet. Current rumours point towards a 2022 release but the release window could always change. It will be interesting to see if Activision continues Warzone's success on mobile devices and how it fares against its rivals.
