As one of the only semi-automatic snipers available in Warzone and Modern Warfare, the Dragunov provides quick-firing shots at long range at the cost of a lack of damage compared to its bolt-action counterparts.

The Soviet sniper consistently pops up in Call of Duty despite being one of the most impractical weapons in its history. With Season 1 for Warzone Pacific underway, is there any chance of the Dragunov making an appearance in the meta?

In this guide, find the best Dragunov Warzone attachments, loadout, and the best to use in Modern Warfare.

Dragunov Warzone Best Attachments

  • Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle)
  • 660mm Extended Barrel (Barrel)
  • Scout Combat Optic (Optic)
  • FTAC Hunter-Scout (Stock)
  • Bipod (Underbarrel)

This combination of attachments may not look like many other sniper rifle builds but it can still dominate in mid-range and long-distance duels.

The choice of bipod drastically reduces recoil, allowing you to lay down a wave of gunfire without the recoil affecting levels of accuracy too much.

Dragunov Best Modern Warfare Loadouts

Class 1 – More Damage!

The first class offers an increased level of damage to reduce the chance of hitting a pesky hitmarker.

Attachments

  • Compensator (Muzzle)
  • Cronen C480 Pro Optic (Optic)
  • FTAC Hunter-Scout (Stock)
  • 660mm Extended Barrel (Barrel)
  • 15 Round Mags (Ammunition)

This set of attachments gives the Dragunov a much-needed damage increase along with some increased mobility to make it more usable at closer ranges.

Perks

  • E.O.D (Perk 1)
  • Ghost (Perk 2)
  • Shrapnel (Perk 3)

Spawn into the game with an additional piece of lethal equipment that can either be used to attack an objective or protect the building you are hidden in.

Grenades

  • C4 (Lethal)
  • Heartbeat Sensor (Tactical)

There are few things more satisfying than a well-timed C4 throw and detonation. Use it after baiting out an enemy and throwing it behind you so they walk into it unaware of the surprise you have left them.

Field Upgrades

  • Deployable Cover

Have the ability to place improvised cover at nearly any location on the map. It can sometimes be the difference between scoring your next killstreak or being taken down.

Killstreaks

  • Care Package (4 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills)
  • Gunship (12 Kills)

With plenty of potential to score a lot of kills, this streak combination may take some time to earn but the reward is certainly worth it.

Class 2 – Semi-Auto AK

With a heavy resemblance to the AK47 Assault Rifle (AR), this iteration of the Dragunov is ideal for medium-range engagements.

Attachments

  • 510mm Compact Barrel (Barrel)
  • Scout Combat Optic (Optic)
  • FTAC Stalker-Scout (Stock)
  • Frangible - Disabling (Perk)
  • 20 Round Mags (Ammunition

The extra magazine capacity eliminates the need for reloading while frangible disabling slows down the enemy, making your target easy to finish off.

Perks

  • Double Time (Perk 1)
  • Hardline (Perk 2)
  • Battle Hardened (Perk 3)

Increase mobility levels further by increasing tactical spring time with hardline making killstreaks that bit easier to acquire

Grenades

  • Semtex (Lethal)
  • Gas Grenade (Tactical)

When it comes to selecting your pieces of lethal and tactical equipment, it comes down to personal preference. Semtex is great for sticking to window frames where an enemy may be hidden and the gas grenade can deal a lot of gradual damage, making it the perfect tool to breach a hardpoint.

Field Upgrades

  • Stopping Power Rounds

Make the Dragunov feel more like an AK with stopping power rounds in the magazine. The increase in damage will also remove any hitmarkers that would occur without stopping power equipped.

Killstreaks

  • Personal Radar (3 Kills)
  • Cruise Missile (5 Kills)
  • Wheelson (7 Kills)

This streak combination doesn’t take a lot to earn but it still deals plenty of damage in comparison to some of the higher killstreaks in the game.

Class 3 – Sneaky Beaver

The third and final class for this guide is aimed at players that use the art of stealth to acquire their kills.

Attachments

  • Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle)
  • 660mm Extended Barrel (Barrel)
  • VLK Lightweight Stock (Stock)
  • VLK 3.0x Optic (Optic)
  • Bipod (Underbarrel)

These attachments conceal your location without affecting the damage output too much. Use the bipod to your advantage if you choose to engage in an opponent when crouching or prone.

Perks

  • Cold Blooded (Perk 1)
  • High Alert (Perk 2)
  • Amped (Perk 3)

To stay aware of any threats that have eyes on you, equip high alert which will make your screen flash when an enemy has seen you.

Grenades

  • C4 (Lethal)
  • Smoke Grenade (Tactical)

C4 is quickly becoming one of the more popular pieces of lethal equipment on Modern Warfare. Its massive explosive radius gives it massive potential to score multiple kills after one use.

Field Upgrades

  • Recon Drone

Pinpoint the locations of the opposition by guiding the recon drone around the map and marking where the enemy is hiding.

Killstreaks

  • Counter UAV (4 Kills)
  • Precision Airstrike (5 Kills)
  • White Phosphorus (10 Kills)

The ability to play sneaky can lead to some very high killstreaks to be earned. White phosphorus suits the dragunov well as it deals damage to every enemy regardless of where they are hiding on the map.
