Season 1 Reloaded of Warzone Pacific is in full swing, with millions of players dropping into Caldera to explore the new points of interest on the Pacific island. With a new era of the battle royale adding another batch of weaponry into the arsenal, players have been attempting to establish the meta in a bid to determine the best guns to use on the new map. With Season 1 Reloaded right around the corner, the meta could well change as the developers look to maintain some kind of weapon balance.
Throughout the short history of Warzone, the meta has changed regularly thanks to regular doses of weapon balancing from Raven Software and it appears that Season 1 is no different, with numerous buffs and nerfs impacting many weapons that once dominated in Verdansk. With that said, what exactly is the meta for the first season in Caldera?

Warzone Pacific Season 1 Meta
With so many weapons from three Call of Duty titles to choose from, it's tricky to spot any standout performers as there are so many viable options to use as part of a loadout. Having spent some time testing a range of weaponry, we believe that we've found a handful of weapons that will prove to be extremely popular over the course of the current season.
Best Warzone Pacific Season 1 Gun
Having been overlooked during the early stages of Season 1, the Bren LMG has become a hugely popular choice despite its somewhat sluggish rate of fire in comparison to other weapons in the arsenal. With the best Bren Warzone attachments equipped, recoil is non-existent which is ideal in those long-distance duels. Check out our Bren guide for the best attachments and the best loadout to use in Caldera.
Warzone Pacific Season 1 AR Meta
There are several Assault Rifles (AR) that are strong choices in Vanguard Royale and standard BR playlists. Here's a full list of rifles we recommend:
Vanguard's integration has seen plenty of changes to the AR meta while the EM2 from Black Ops Cold War has managed to hold its place as one of the stronger rifles to use in Caldera. For versatility, the NZ-41 and STG are extremely strong and despite the slow fire rate of the BAR, its fast time to kill makes it incredibly powerful in those competitive mid-range engagements.
Warzone Pacific Season 1 SMG Meta
When getting up close and personal with the opposition, there are few weapons that can outperform a submachine gun (SMG). Thanks to their fast fire rates and incredible mobility, they often feature alongside an AR as part of a hugely versatile loadout. Here are the best SMGs to use in Season 1:
It's not surprising to see many Vanguard weapons find their way into the meta, especially when they're as good as the PPSH and the MP-40. Despite another dose of weapon balancing, the Owen Gun and Welgun still hold their places within many loadouts and it's unlikely that this will change unless significant nerfs are implemented.
Warzone Pacific Season 1 LMG Meta
Despite the Caldera era of Warzone still being in its early stages, Light Machine Guns (LMG) have skyrocketed in popularity, with various Vanguard LMGs featuring in the loadouts of players looking to make an impact in medium and long-range gunfights. Here are the best to use in Season 1:
Warzone Pacific Season 1 Marksman Rifle Meta
For those looking for a bit more firepower at longer distances, there are a number of Marksman Rifles that are more than capable of making an impact against ARs in mid-range combat and fully equipped sniper rifles at longer distances. Here are the Marksman Rifles we recommend using in Season 1:
There are very few weapons that can compete with the Kar98k from Modern Warfare thanks to its incredible damage output and ability to make an impact at almost any range. The DMR is nowhere near as good as it once was, but its ease of control makes it a viable option with the right set of attachments equipped. Lastly, the M1 Garand from Vanguard is hugely powerful and with some recoil-reducing attachments, it's very easy to deal plenty of damage.
Warzone Pacific Season 1 Sniper Meta
Lastly and by no means least are the sniper rifles that are viable options on Caldera. Long-distance duels can often make the differences during the latter stages of a match so it's important that you familiarise yourself with the snipers that can deal the most damage. Here are the snipers likely to dominate in Season 1:
- Kar98k (Vanguard)
- LW3 - Tundra
Just like its Modern Warfare equivalent, Vanguard's Kar98k is just as strong, excelling in the vast majority of scenarios regardless of how close the enemy is. For something a little different, the LW3-Tundra suits a more passive style of play, allowing you to pick off any opponent that wanders into the crosshair with ease.
