As such, the chances are you'll want to learn how to attack in Clan Capital mode, to bag yourself some new rewards and level up quickly. There's a bunch of Capital Gold on offer if you know how to attack, so it's worth brushing up on the details!
In this Clash of Clans guide, we'll go through exactly how you start attacks in the Clan Capital mode. We'll also run through the rewards on offer for successful attacks, which is always good to know if you're preparing for a clan battle.
Elsewhere in Clash of Clans, feel free to check out our guide on how to get Capital Gold, as well as how to try out and play Clan Capital. That's on top of an overall hub on the spring 2022 update, so you know exactly what's new in the hit mobile game.
How to Attack in Clan Capital
The only time you can attack in the new Clan Capital system is during Raid Weekends. These are co-ordinated, large scale events taking place across the weekend from Monday to Friday. In these, you'll work alongside other clan members to fight enemy clan capitals, defeating districts and destroying their buildings to ultimately bring them down.
To do that, of course, you'll need to be in a clan with an established Clan Capital. From there, you'll be able to participate in Raid Weekends, sending your troops to fight enemy defenses. Note that while you won't technically battle alongside your teammates, damage is cumulative, so when all your forces are depleted, they'll take the reins from where you last left off.
As such, the battlefield remains the same for all clan fighters. Traps will only work for one turn, and don't rearm after you've used them, but spells do last for one attack after yours before running out.
You'll get five chances to participate in battles across the Raid Weekend, with a one-off extra attack if you manage to defeat another clan's district in combat. Defeating those districts is a pre-requisite to fighting their Clan Capital, which you need to destroy to topple them and move onto another clan.
What Are The Clan Capital Attack Rewards?
As you may expect, the more buildings you destory in Clan Capital attacks, the more Capital Gold you'll earn. That's the base reward just for playing through these missions, but there are ways to snag even more. If you're the final player required to defeat an enemy capital, you'll get a Capital Gold bonus based on how many troops you had remaining as well.
When you and your clan have destroyed a Clan Capital, you're then given a new one to attack. This goes on and on until all of your own forces are depleted, and the game calculates a ranking for you based on how many districts and capitals you defeated. It won't come as a surprise to anyone, but the better your ranking, the more rewards you get at the end of the Raid Weekend.
On top of that, you'll get passive rewards based on how well your clan's defenses hold up against rival attacks. As such, it's important to spend resources on upgrading your defenses as well, otherwise your clan will crumble under attack and you'll miss out on that loot.
