Read below to find out all about it.

There are a few characters who have been confirmed in the new game, some of which are playable.

  • Crash (playable)
  • Coco (playable)
  • Neo Cortex (playable)
  • Dingodile (playable)
  • Dr. Nefarious Tropy
  • Uka Uka

Crash Bandicoot 4: Playable Characters

Despite what you may think, Crash isn't the only hero on this adventure. In fact, Coco Bandicoot is also available in any level that Crash can play.

That means, in theory, you could play the entire game as Coco, and leave the jorts wearing bandicoot on the sidelines.

That's a change from previous games in the series, with Coco often being playable in certain levels. Toys For Bob are also committed to making her a larger part of the game's narrative, too.

Each bandicoot will have access to powerful new Quantum Masks that allow the ability to invert gravity, phase-shift platforms and other elements in and out of the environment and slow down time. You'll also have skins to unlock, so you can customise Crash (and Coco, too).

There's also a fourth Quantum Mask, but the developers aren't ready to show it just yet.

That's not all, though. We'll also be playing as not one, but two of Crash's enemies.

The first, Neo Cortex, is Crash's arch-nemesis. This time around, his weapon is capable of turning enemies into platforms to help him get around.

Secondly, Dingodile is back as a playable character. Now a diner-owner, Dingodile's new business venture is burned to the ground as he's dragged into another dimension.

Rather than using his traditional flamethrower, however, he now wields a vacuum cannon capable of sucking up crates, Wumpa, and enemies alike! It can also be used to cross large gaps, and he can tail slap enemies that get too close.

Currently, only two masks have been confirmed by Toys for Bob.

The Time Mask allows the player to slow downtime and the Gravity Mask which gives you the ability to walk on ceilings.
