Binance has added Shiba Inu support to its Binance Card in Europe, allowing SHIB holders to use their tokens in a more seamless fashion.
As announced by both Shiba Inu and Binance, this will allow holders to spend SHIB through over 60 million merchants.
The latest Shiba Inu news from Binance is one of just several crypto offerings available to Shiba Inu holders. Whether it’s SHIB-specific like the Binance Shiba Inu quiz, or the Binance Wodl game, holders have plenty to do.
Shiba Inu on Binance Card
As first announced on August 5 by the official Shiba Inu account, Binance has added SHIB support to its crypto card.
SHIB is one of three new additions to the Binance card, alongside AVAX and XRP. It joins the likes of Bitcoin, Cardano, Ethereum, and several Binance fan tokens as being supported. Dogecoin is not supported by the card, however.
The Binance Card is only available in the European Economic Area (EEA), meaning Binance.US users are not eligible to use their SHIB via the card.
Similarly, as the UK is no longer in the EEA, its SHIB holders cannot use the card, either.
To prioritise the use of SHIB when using the Binance card, holders must change the payment priority settings. To do this, go to the Card Dashboard, and select Payment Priority, before adjusting as necessary.
This support comes after Shiba Growth member Milkshake first teased some Binance collaboration in a Tweet. On August 4, she said:
I want to thank Binance for these past few weeks and giving me the opportunity to discuss and find possibilities for $SHIB specifically, and the community, while growing utility & ease of access for even more users worldwide.
Meanwhile, members of the Shiba Inu ecosystem will hope this signals further collaboration with the crypto exchange. Whether adding BONE, which saw a huge price surge earlier this week, to the Binance new listings, or supporting further projects on the Shiba Inu roadmap, the addition of SHIB to a crypto card is news that many holders will celebrate.
