Cyberpunk 2077 may have launched one of the most disastrous games in recent memory, but CDPR has been hard at work, and many people consider the current version of the game to be definitely ‘fixed.’

Though a sequel is still in the works, CD Projekt Red has surprised players with a new update numbered 2.2. it features many neat changes that offer more customization options for players regarding their vehicles, characters, and more.

Though earlier options for customizing V were limited, the latest update adds even more options for players to decide how their V will look in the game.

In addition to the new face and eye color combinations, the game offers a randomizer option that alters V’s features to make them look more ‘punk,’ depending on the player's preferences. This feature can also be customized by locking certain features that players are already satisfied with and then messing around with all the other unchecked options.

Car Customization Changes

Though the patch before 2.2 offered only limited car customization options, this latest update allows players to change the colors of any car they own in the game.

Besides picking out colors, players can spot other cars in the game and save their designs to apply them to their vehicles.

Though car customization is more of an aesthetic element for Cyberpunk, it can also affect gameplay. If the cops are out for V in the city, there is an option to change the colors of your car mid-chase, and suddenly, the heat on V will slowly die down. It’s a bit of a cheat but not completely unexpected in a world as high-tech as Night City.

Changes in Photo Mode

The patch also overhauls the game's photo mode. Players can now freely move the camera around the environment, increasing the range. Other issues, including depth of field ghosting, have also been fixed, and players can now adjust the light during this mode.

Players can now also spawn 3 NPCs to appear in photos. There are 20 characters to choose from, and players can switch between their expressions, poses, and positions.

What’s also neat is that V’s apartment will have these smart frames, and players can choose to have their own personal pictures on the frames to give V’s home a more personal touch.

These are the most significant changes in the game so far. Adjustments have also been made to the overall game, from bugs to gameplay elements and changes specific to the Phantom Liberty DLC.
