It's been two years since Devil May Cry 5 was released, but the game is still making waves. Having released a DMC 5 Special Edition last year for new-gen consoles, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced it'd won a Special Award in the PlayStation Partner Awards 2021 Japan Asia.
As reported by Siliconera, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition took the Special Award as a game made by a Japanese/Asian developer. Specifically, that was for being a game with "noteworthy statistics" since the PS5's launch in November 2020.

Elsewhere, Apex Legends took the prize for the Western-made game with the most sales across Japan and Asia, while Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin nabbed a separate award as an indie title developed by Japanese/Asian creators.
Devil May Cry 5 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. As for the Special Edition, that's only out on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Make sure to follow us for more gaming news and updates as it happens.
