As the development of Diablo 4 continues, so do the quarterly updates and communication from Blizzard letting players know how the game is progressing and showing off behind-the-scenes work and upcoming systems to get players hyped for the release of Diablo 4.

After the last quarterly update, players were left a bit dissatisfied as there was not a lot of system talk in there as it was primarily about announcing the new Game Director, and an update on Sound in the game.

However, in today's Quarterly Update, players get a look at itemization, the importance of VFX, and the first look at the new Paragon System that is coming to Diablo 4.

The paragon system has been heavily criticized throughout the lifespan of Diablo 3, and players are hoping Blizzard doesn't make the same mistake with Diablo 4, making the system an infinite grind, for a minimal power increase.

There are four different types of Tiles players can select, Normal Tiles, Magic Tiles, Rare Tiles, and Legendary Tiles all with different boosts in power and availability.

There is only one Legendary Tile per board, which can be found at the center, which will likely be a big reason for players to continue building into new boards.

Upon reaching the end of a board, players will find a "Gate Tile" which will unlock a brand new board to begin progressing through, and players can even rotate it to fit their playstyle the best.

There is no information yet if Board selection is capped at a certain amount, or players can continue the grind forever just like in Diablo 3.

Finally, certain points on the board are "Glyph" points, which can socket items into them to add in unique powers and bonuses to those powers around them.

It is good to finally see some of the power systems coming to Diablo 4, however, it is still early in development and is subject to change, and expected to receive many updates both visually, and systematically.
