Old Enemies Quest Guide for Disney Dreamlight Valley

Timon's first Friendship quest, The Old Enemies, in Disney Dreamlight Valley revolves around helping him feel safe in the village. Timon is worried about the dangers around Pride Rock and the carnivores in the area, particularly Scar. Your task is to assist Timon in making Pride Rock more comfortable and calming his fears about the predators in the village.

As the Dreamer, your mission is to help Timon adapt to the new environment by completing several activities including decorating, handling a trap, and providing leisure time for Timon and Pumbaa. In return, you will strengthen your relationship with Timon and get some Friendship points and Pride Rock decoration items. In Old Enemies Quest, you are given a few tasks by Timon to transform the Pride Rock into a Jungle Oasis, deal with a trap in Scar’s cave, and make items like Dreamlight Ice Cream and a board game to help Timon relax. During this quest, you will also meet other characters such as Pumbaa, Scar, and Vanellope.

How to Start the Old Enemies Quest

Before you can begin the Old Enemies quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, make sure you have already unlocked both Timon and Pumba. Once they are settled in the village, you will need to focus on increasing your friendship with Timon.

You can increase Friendship levels by engaging in daily conversations or by gifting him items that increase friendship. Once you have gained Friendship level two with Timon, he will approach you with a worry about the dangerous characters in the village and the Old Enemies will start.

Decorate Pride Rock (Create a Jungle Oasis)

In the opening part of the quest, Timon expresses discomfort in his new surroundings and asks for your help in transforming Simba and Nala's home, Pride Rock, into a relaxing Jungle Oasis. To do this, Timon provides various items, including plants and decorations, that you'll need to place around Pride Rock. Some of the objects include:

• Small Palm Trees - 3
• Short Jungle Plants - 3
• Wide Jungle Plants - 3
• Base - 10

Use these items creatively to transform Pride Rock into an oasis. After decorating, you’ll need to take a 15-minute real-time break, then return and find Timon. Let him know the area has been successfully turned into the Jungle Oasis. This helps ease his anxiety slightly but Timon remains worried, especially since Scar is still roaming around the village.

Remove Vanellope’s Trap in Scar’s Cave

As Timon is afraid of Scar, Vanellope tries to save him by placing a trap in the cave. She thinks it will assist in protecting Timon but you have to step in before the situation gets out of hand. Your next task is to go to Scar’s cave to deal with the trap.

Enter the cave and locate the trap. Use the Pickaxe to disable it. Afterward, you’ll need to approach Scar, apologize, and remind him that everyone in the village must live peacefully. Then, speak with Vanellope to help her remember that Scar is no longer an enemy, despite what others may think.

Craft a Board Game and Dreamlight Ice Cream

Even after your efforts, Timon still struggles with his fear. To deal with it, Pumbaa suggests a relaxing activity to help him ease off. Your next task is to craft a board game and prepare some Dreamlight Ice Cream for a relaxing game night. Here is what you will need:

Board Game

• Softwood (x12): Can be found in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, or the Forest of Valor. It is also available from Kristoff’s Stall.
• Glass (x3): Crafted by combining Sand (x5) with Coal Ore at a Crafting Table. You can also buy Glass from Kristoff’s Stall.
• Gold Ingot (x1): Created by combining Gold Nuggets (x5) with Coal Ore at a Crafting Table or you can also buy it from Kristoff’s Stall.

Dreamlight Ice Cream

• Dreamlight Fruit (x3): Obtained from the Dreamlight Tree after completing the third Friendship quest (Seed of Memories) of Simba.
• Milk (x3): Purchased from Chez Remy’s Restaurant.
• Slush Ice (x3): Unlocked by completing the Unknown Flavor quest.

Once you have all the necessary materials, use a Cooking Pot to prepare the Dreamlight Ice Cream and craft the board game at the Crafting Table. The preparation will help Timon feel relaxed, and you will soon be able to enjoy some quality time with him and Pumbaa.

Enjoy a Relaxing Time with Timon and Pumbaa

Once you've collected the board game and ice cream, head back to Timon. Share the ice cream and play the board game with him to help him relax. To wrap up this objective, place the board game somewhere in the village.

Take a picture with Timon and Pumbaa to capture the moment. Finally, speak with Timon one last time to finish the Old Enemies quest. He will express his gratitude for your efforts in helping him feel more comfortable in the village. You will get the following rewards after completing the quest:

• Friendship points (440)
• Base (x50)
• Small Palm Tree (x6)
• Short Jungle Plant (x6)
• Wide Jungle Plant (x6)

Some of these decorative items, like the Base and Wide Jungle Plants, can be returned to your inventory for future use, but the Small Palm Tree and Short Jungle Plants will disappear if picked up.
