Disney Dreamlight Valley involves quests that can be taken up with various characters. Something’s Off is one of Friendship Quests with Pumbaa which becomes available once you're at Friendship level 2 with him. Additionally, you’re required to have unlocked certain characters and completed a few challenges.
Since the Quest contains numerous characters from the Disney lineup, it can be challenging for some players. Especially when multiple characters introduce new story angles. To avoid confusion and difficulty in keeping up with the quest, the article below gives a comprehensive walkthrough of the Something’s Off Quest For Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Something’s Off Quest
As mentioned before, there are certain characters and challenges that players must have completed before moving on with this quest. In essence, you must have unlocked characters such as Elsa, Daisy, Sulley, The Beast, Minnie Mouse, Remy, and Timon. Lastly, the establishment—Chez Remy.
A Panicking Pumbaa
The quest starts with players being able to see a distressed Pumbaa. When you interact with him, he’ll tell you how he went and cleared up Chez Ramy (A food establishment in the game). He further tells you how it reminded him of his feasting days at a watering hole, and he doesn’t want to repeat that.
He feels embarrassed and wants you to investigate what went wrong on his behalf. Daisy and Elsa say that Pumbaa has bad table manners and a nasty breath, of which his signature scent has returned. On the flip side, your character doesn’t recall Pumbaa stinking. This prompts your character to rush over to Remy to discover what changed.
You’ll need to interrogate the following villagers for clues:
- Daisy
- Elsa

+ 2Eventually, you and Remy find the issue — the Cheese, which Pumbaa has been consuming a lot of. To test this theory, you and Remy cook a few cheese-free items for Pumbaa.
You’re required to prepare the following meals:
- Onion Puffs
- Roasted Asparagus
- Minnie’s Gingerbread Cookies
Once the feast is over, it’s time for a makeover that starts with a Mud Bath.
To craft the Mud Bath, you’ll need the following resources:
- 8x Soil
- 10x Sand
- 12x Dry Wood
- 15x Stone
The Fix
click to enlarge + 2While Pumbaa enjoys his mud bath, your task is to locate oral hygiene supplies for the character to use. Speak with Minnie, Sulley, and the Beast for advice.
Here are all the items you’ll need and where you can get them from:
- Toothpaste: Sulley
- Toothbrush: The Beast
- Breath Freshener: Minnie Mouse
- Mint: Frosted Heights
Once Pumbaa finishes his Mud Bath and uses the supplies for good, he’s ready to head back to Chez Remy and meet Timon. Here, Pumbaa will ask you to accompany him due to his shyness.
Even after the Triumphant returns to Chez Ramy, Pumbaa and Timon decide not to give up on Cheesecake. Rather, they only eat it outside. Now, you’ll find a well-fed and well-groomed Pumbaa return to his Glory.
