You you can easily deflect beams in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Those frustrating continuous energy beams completely break the rhythm of the game. But no more as we are here with the solution.
Mastering deflection allows you to minimize the damage you take while maintaining your health, keeping you in the fight longer. So, without a delay, let's learn this move.
How to Deflect Beams in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?
Keeping the different controller layouts in mind, here is how to deflect the beam for different consoles.
PlayStation
If you are on a classical PlayStation setup, activating Super Perception will do the work for you. For it, press Circle + Triangle (O + △) right before the beam attack makes contact. Mind it that timing is crucial here; hit the buttons too early or too late, and you'll take the full force of the attack.
For the Standard setup, you can just hold the perception button which is 'O'(on the right side of the controller). It makes it easier to time it compared to the earlier one.
Xbox
Much like PS, In the case of classic setup, press the Y + B keys on the right side of your controller. Otherwise, you can just hold B for the standard layout.
For PC players, you can execute this move by pressing Q + E on your keyboard just before the beam hits you.
However, putting all your faith in only this move isn’t always wise. Why so? Because it cannot deflect those ultimate Blasts as they are much more powerful than regular beam attacks.
Also, this move will cost you two skill points and some amount of Ki energy which will keep on draining until you press the Perception key.
It is advisable to do a healthy amount of deflecting beam practice in training mode. Without proper timing, this move can feel more like a high-risk, low-reward option in the heat of combat.
Nonetheless, you can also rely on high-speed evasive techniques while you are mastering deflecting beams. To perform high-speed evasion press R1 (PS5) or RB (Xbox) in Standard controls, or O (PS5) or B (Xbox) in Classic controls.
