When you start your journey through The Lands Between in Elden Ring, you'll soon find that your map is far from complete. While you can fill it in with various Sites of Grace and other points of interest, you'll need to collect Map Fragments in order to turn your map into a more detailed image of the world.
Map Fragments will be found at the base of large stones around The Lands Between, and these are also known as Guide Steles. After acquiring a Fragment, an area of the map will be revealed to you immediately. Even without the Map Fragment, you can typically see the Guide Stele marked on your map directing you to it, provided that you have cleared all the nearby Fog of War.
Failing that, or if you're wanting to get your map filled out as quickly as possible, we've detailed the locations of Map Fragments in Elden Ring in this guide.
Elden Ring Map Fragment Locations
Courtesy of our friends at MapGenie, you can view the locations of Map Fragments in Elden Ring using the map above. However, we've detailed these Map Fragment locations below, too. As with all Map Fragments, look out for the large pillar - the Guide Stele - which indicates exactly where they are.
West Limgrave
This Map Fragment can be found just in the middle of the Gatefront Ruins.
East Limgrave
As you travel along a path through Mistwood, you'll find this Guide Stele and it's Map Fragment to the left of the path eventually.
Weeping Peninsula
There is a path that goes south of East Limgrave taking you to this area, and eventually, along the right side of the path, there will be another Guide Stele with a Map Fragment to collect. To ensure you're on the right path, go across the Bridge of Sacrifice and keep following the path south.
You'll eventually come to the Guide Stele, but take caution of the nearby Ruin Golem and its ballista arrows.
Caelid
The Caelid Map Fragment is not too far from the Smouldering Wall Site of Grace, and can be found along the road that is south-west of Sellia Gateway, north of Caelid Catacombs.

Dragonbarrow
The Dragonbarrow Map Fragment is far north of Caelid, on a road just north of the Deep Siofra Well, but it is best to approach this area from Mistwood to the west. As you may be able to tell by the name, dragons lurk here, so take caution.
East Liurnia
From the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace, you can follow a particularly swampy road from here (the route is indicated by lanterns). After a while, the Guide Stele and Map Fragment will be on the right-hand side of the road, but be prepared to take down the enemies surrounding it.
North Liurnia
This Map Fragment can be found nearby the Academy Gate Town Site of Grace.
West Liurnia
This Map Fragment is north of the Liurnia Lake, but just south of the Kingsrealm Ruins. You'll also find that it is just past the Northern Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace.

Altus Plateau
To be able to access this Map Fragment, you'll first need access to the Grand Lift of Dectus which requires you to have the two halves of the Dectus Medallion first. When you can access the area, the Map Fragment can be found along a road that is north of Altus Highway Junction.
Mt. Gelmir
This Map Fragment is below the cliffs that surround the volcano, and is notoriously difficult to get to. The Fragment can be fond near to the Road of Iniquity Site of Grace, and you'll have to traverse some cliffs to get to it.
Leyndell, Royal Capital
The Royal Capital's Map Fragment can be found just beside the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace. This is east of the Altus Highway Junction.
Siofra River
This is the only Map Fragment that will not be found beside a Guide Stele. Instead, navigate to the Siofra River Bank Site of Grace, and the Fragment can be found on a body at the bottom of the eastern steps.
