The Last of Us' upcoming TV show has been in development for sometime, and more information's gradually surfacing about what to expect. Now, we've had news that Riley Abel, Ellie's best friend, has now been cast in a guest role.
According to Deadline, Storm Reid is portraying Riley in HBO and Sony's adaptation. She's best known for her work in 2019 drama series Euphoria, though Reid was also in The Suicide Squad film as Tyla DuBois, which premiered last year.

The Last of Us TV Series Casts Storm Reid as Riley
Riley was previously introduced in a DLC episode, The Last of Us: Left Behind. She appeared two weeks before the beginning of the game, where she reunited with Ellie. Riley was voiced by Yaani King back then, marking the character's only appearance in the series.
Reid joins The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal as Joel, and Game of Thrones' Bella Ramsey as Ellie. The Last of Us' first season is expected to arrive this year, so make sure to follow us for more gaming and entertainment news and updates as it happens.
