Escape From Tarkov is a tactical shooter which requires players to be incredibly stealthy and methodical throughout their Raids. Playing as a Scav or a PMC, players will loot areas and the bodies of those that they're able to take out in gunfights; it's pretty ruthless. Tarkov's Interchange map is perhaps one of the most challenging maps to take on, and that's where we've stepped in to help.
In this guide, we have explained all there is to find and look out for around Interchange.

What is Interchange?
Interchange is on the intersection of Tarkov's main transport routes, so it is suitably named. The Interchange map is made up of a gigantic shopping centre, and three other sizeable ones. The Interchange is supposed to act as a connector between Tarkov as a city and its other, more industrialised areas.
When engaging in a raid at Interchange, it's safe to go with a squad, as the map proves to be challenging for the average solo player. Given that the first floor of the 'ULTRA' shopping centre features a Scav boss, Killa, and the map contains a mass of loot, it's a popular pick among squads. This means that for those who play solo, it's perhaps best to avoid Interchange altogether.
Above, we have embedded an interactive, fully-customisable map of Interchange from our friends at MapGenie. The map has all loot, extractions, and other areas of interest noted on it. Check it out here.
Players could attempt to take down Killa solo or loot anywhere outside of Killa's territory, but with squads of players often being present, it's incredibly high risk. Even playing as a squad, the map can be difficult for the most skilled of players. Tight interiors and lengthy corridors mean that players can expect a range of gunfights; another reason why it's not recommended going alone to Interchange.
What makes Interchange so tempting to players, however, is the amount of valuable loot that the map contains. If players can get their hands on keys around the map, they'll also be able to grab the best loot, too. Additionally, if Killa can be taken down, then he has some of the most expensive armour in the game.
Points Of Interest
With Escape From Tarkov's Interchange being packed with shops, not only is there a hell of a lot to explore, but it's interesting too. Be careful to not get too distracted by how IDEA is definitely Tarkov's version of IKEA, though, as players will likely be fierce on this map.
We've listed some of the most popular points of interest for players below. Again, take caution, as popular areas may hide campers, too.
- Power Station
- IDEA
- OLI
- Goshan
- KIBA
- Generic
- Mantis
- EMERCOM
- ADIK
Extraction Points
Across Tarkov's Interchange map, there are six Extraction points where players can make their escape safely with their loot. As with most of the maps in Escape From Tarkov, not all Extraction Points are always available, some need players to meet specific requirements beforehand, and some have limited uses.
Here are all the Extraction points across the Interchange map:
- Safe Room - All Factions, Power Station Switch On, Must Flush Toilet in Burger Spot, and Swipe Object #11SR Keypad
- Scav Camp - All, Requires Friendly Scav and PMC
- Railway Exfil - All
- Power Station - All, Requires 3000 Roubles, Can Only Be Used By 4 Players
- Emercom Checkpoint - All
- Hole in Fence - All, Backpack Must Not Be Equipped
That's all you need to know about navigating, looting, and escaping the Interchange map from Escape From Tarkov. For a map that poses a little less of a threat, try Customs or Reserve.
