Could Far Cry 6 Be A Prequel to Far Cry 3?
It seems that Diego actually be a young Vaas from Far Cry 3.
It's looking more and more likely due to theories and a hint made by Vaas' voice actor Michael Mando.
IGN journalist Joe Skrebels posted an image on Twitter comparing both characters, specifically focusing on a scar, see below.

Diego Castillo the protagonist of the newest title in the Far Cry series has a scar identical to that of Vaas Montenegro.
A few months ago voice actor of Vaas, Michael Mando hinted he may be returning to Far Cry. In a Reddit AMA (ask me anything) he said:
“Vaas is my spirit animal – having co-created that character is something that will always be dear to me, I still get recognized as Vaas, and I still feel the outpouring of love for that character – makes me very happy. Who knows… maybe I will reprise the role very soon? :p Thank you for watching xo.”
It's pretty common for Ubisoft to link Far Cry by minor details, so it wouldn't be so far fetched to believe this theory to be true.
Another thing possibly linking Mondo to Diego is that the main antagonist in Far Cry 6, Anton Castillo (Diego's Father) actually worked with Michael Mondo in Breaking Bad, this could just be a coincidence, but who knows?
We think this could be an interesting twist and would be a great easter egg for long time players of the series.
