Many fans have already decided that GTA 6 is going to be a generational open-world game when it comes out. The graphics actually look next-gen, and everything teased in trailers has people interested in an eventual gameplay reveal. We hope the most recent delay was its last, so people can finally see what this game is made of.

Despite hype for the game, we can’t help but want a bit more from this entry. Everyone knows that Rockstar is going to put everything and the kitchen sink into this title, but there’s a chance this could also be a “normal” GTA game. It looks really good, but doesn't look like something that can move the open-world genre forward.

So, here are some mechanics and features that we want to see return or make their debut in GTA 6.

Robberies

We mentioned this before, but robberies would be a great addition to this game. Being able to do bank heists in the day and rob criminal houses at night sounds like a surefire recipe for success. This feature isn’t completely new, since San Andreas also had stealth missions where you rob people, but it would be a welcome return.

Multiple Endings

Like the fourth and fifth games before it, GTA 6 would benefit from having multiple endings to add some replayability. This might be easy to do, since players can realistically make multiple saves to get them all, but that’s fine. It’s easy enough to imagine that Jason and Lucia can either turn on each other or work together despite any hardships, adding some intriguing possibilities.

Wacky Vehicles

Even though this series has been all about realism lately, there’s some hope that the new entry will have some weird vehicles for players to use. Many fans fondly remember how fun using the jetpack was in various games, and we want to see something similar here. Previous games still let you kill whoever you want, but being able to ride with a jetpack or something weird like a UFO spaceship would be plenty of fun.

Cheat Codes

A bygone feature from a forgotten era, we would all love to see cheat codes return in GTA 6. Cheats essentially stopped after the sixth generation of games, which is a shame because they let players run wild in their imagination. Most of us would love to spawn a tank out of nowhere before shooting anything and everything.

Improved Melee Combat

Now that GTA games have embraced a better shooting perspective, we think making the melee combat better should be next. It’s always been passable in these games, but never felt meaty. We aren’t asking for Batman: Arkham combat, but something that makes us look forward to punching and kicking people would be great.

Those are our wants and needs for GTA 6, at least so far. Rockstar Games could drop another trailer out of nowhere and reveal all of these features. Still, we can’t help but hope to see these in the new game.
