The marketing of GTA 6 has focused on its realistic graphics, pushing current-gen systems to their limits. While that’s great for fans of the series, those who prefer more fantastical themes still aren’t interested in the open-world title. Some of that might change soon, with many fans speculating about mythical wildlife creatures appearing.

After Rockstar Games teased “far deadlier predators than alligators” in the game, fans now want to shoot swamp monsters in GTA 6. It would be a fitting addition to the game, as GTA and Rockstar have experimented with mythological creatures. While this won’t completely win over some gamers, most fans will appreciate seeing this back.

On the game’s subreddit, fans have been speculating on these “deadlier predators” and how they can make this open-world title more exciting. Some fans have jokingly suggested fighting hillbillies, giving gamers a Deliverance-style story. Some players want a Legendary Animal system like in Red Dead Redemption 2, given all of the game’s wildlife.

Naturally, some fans want something more mystical, hence, swamp monsters. Like Bigfoot’s appearance in Red Dead Redemption, having mythical creatures appear would have fans talking. Bigfoot was more sympathetic in his appearance, so fans probably want some kind of enemy to shoot down this time, giving fans hope for the aforementioned Legendary Animal system.

We’ve seen GTA 6 hype up its wildlife aspects, since the game is a parody of Florida. Alligators appeared in the game’s first trailer, showing how much of a role roaming animals will play in the game. Don’t be too surprised if one of the missions is hunting down alligators so store owners can use their skin for materials.

Hunting wildlife would also differentiate this next-gen entry from the other games that came before it. Granted, hunting animals was already a major part of Red Dead Redemption 2, but that feature can be reused. The modern setting also introduces funny scenarios in how we hunt these animals, like running them over with a car or throwing Molotov cocktails.

It will be interesting to see if this feature can make GTA 6 stand out, though most gamers don’t care about that. Most fans are happy to have a new Grand Theft Auto game to play, since the last one came out on PS3 and Xbox 360. We’re excited to see what current-gen power can do for this game, and if it also means more fun hunting missions for Rockstar Games fans.
