If you were hoping to see Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster released soon, then we've got bad news, Square Enix has announced it's been delayed into early next year.
As seen on Square Enix's official Twitter, VI's been delayed to "bring the best experience possible" to the players, polishing the game further. Now launching in February 2022, they've promised compensation for players who've already pre-ordered this game, or have it through the bundle package.

Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster Delayed, Now Launches in Early 2022
Specifically, they'll be giving out bonus items and, as seen from the Steam announcement, that includes:
- Special Soundtracks
- Locke's Theme (Timelapse Remix)
- The Decisive Battle (Timelapse Remix)
- Terra's Theme (Timelapse Remix)
- Searching for Friends (Timelapse Remix)
- Aria di Mezzo Carattere (Instrumental)
- Special Wallpapers
- FF6: 2 types of wallpapers
- FF1-6: 2 types of pixel remastered series wallpapers
While it's not explicitly confirmed as such, Square Enix's wording seemingly suggests these bonuses are exclusive for those who've pre-ordered it. The Timelapse remixes are designed to have a similar intro as the original, but transitions to a different remix in later parts of the song.
For now, we'll have to wait to see Terra Branford's adventures in Final Fantasy VI remastered, but we'll keep you informed with further news.
