Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 kicked off some interesting changes to Epic Games' popular battle royale. Alongside introducing Doctor Strange, Season 2 also temporarily removed the building aspect of gameplay beyond competitive and arena playlists, and we've now learned it could become a permanent option.
According to prominent dataminer Hypex, Fortnite reportedly includes hidden no-building modes that Epic could enable after this limited-time event wraps up. Furthermore, they advised loading screens have changed, now stating "in modes with building enabled."
Fortnite Could Make No-Building a Permanent Mode
Presently, this remains unconfirmed by Epic Games, though we wouldn't expect any confirmation until this event's finished. We'd be surprised if it's not left in as an option, and we'd certainly welcome further options for all players. Until then, you can read more about this leak below.
Fortnite is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, Android, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Epic Games is donating all Fortnite proceeds to humanitarian relief for the war in Ukraine until April 3, with assistance from Microsoft. You can find out more right here.
