Looking to pad out your cosmetic collection? If so, our rundown of the rarest Fortnite skins will show you the most exclusive outfits you can equip in the game. Some of these picks have been out of rotation for over two years, so if you have them lying around, you should definitely equip them to flex on other players.

In this Fortnite guide, we'll run through five of the most uncommon skins in the game. Ranging from skins that haven't appeared for seasons to ones that you just don't see in general gameplay, we've got all bases covered. If you're a Fortnite aficionado, the chances are you'll want one of these in your locker.

Here are the rarest Fortnite skins

Check out our picks below for the rarest Fortnite skins. Some of these haven't been available in the item shop for years, so there's a good chance they've passed you by.

Renegade Raider

While Renegade Raider is often closely associated as one of the most recognisable Fortnite skins due to her proximity to the storyline, she's actually very rare. First appearing as one of the launch skins with season one back in late 2017, she last appeared in the Item Shop in mid-December 2017.

Since then, over the past four years Renegade Raider hasn't appeared in the Item Shop at all. Don't expect it to return too, because all of the original season one skins have been vaulted by Epic Games, with the promise that they won't reappear. Therefore, only the very original Fortnite players will have access to Renegade Raider. That's why it's so coveted!

Special Forces

Next on our list is a skin that you're much more likely to encounter in general lobbies. Excluding the vaulted season one original skins, Special Forces is next in line when it comes to rarity. This military-themed skin last appeared in the Item Shop in January 2019, and hasn't shown up again since.

Prior to this blackout, Special Forces had appeared in the Item Shop quite consistently throughout 2018. There's no clear reason behind its disappearance since, meaning the likelihood is that Epic decided to vault it after a year of heavy promotion. As such, we can't rule out Special Forces returning, but don't hold out too much hope.

Black Widow Outfit

Next is a Marvel-themed Fortnite skin which is very different to the usual licensed crossovers in the game. While you'd normally see a skin of a superhero's outfit, for example, the Black Widow Outfit is slightly different. Instead it's a military uniform themed around the iconic Marvel assassin, making it stand out from the rest.

Due to its distinction from other licensed skins, this Black Widow outfit is one of the rarest in the game. It first appeared on April 25, 2019 and stayed in the Item Shop for just two weeks. It hasn't been seen since, so we can only expect that this one will remain vaulted for good. As such, it's the rarest Marvel skin in all of Fortnite.

Demogorgon

The Demogorgon skin is one of the most visually unique in all of Fortnite. Inspired by the intimidating villain of the Stranger Things TV show, no other skin in the game has the same flowery head design, making it stand out during matches.

While Stranger Things has been all the rage in recent months, it doesn't seem like the Demogorgon skin will be making any sort of return. It last left the Item Shop in November 2019, and has been absent ever since. While Epic Games could bring it back to promote the show's new season, the chances are it'll remain incredibly rare.

Hazard Agent

The final rare Fortnite skin on our list for now is Hazard Agent, a faceless operative donning a hazmat suit. While it may not look particularly special, it appeared in the Item Shop three times in 2019, so it was quite common for a while. Since December of that year though, it has been totally vaulted.

Not many skins appear in the Item Shop that frequently, only to completely disappear from rotation once again. There's every chance that the Hazard Agent skin could reappear, but it's hard to tell given how long the wait has been.

That's it for our look at the rarest Fortnite skins in the game! While you're here, feel free to browse everything we know about the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 battle pass.
