How to Harvest Stone from Shifty Shafts in Fortnite

Shifty Shafts is in the northern part of the new Fortnite map. It's the only landmark in that area and the only area west of The Daily Bugle that looks like a settlement. If you're having trouble finding it on the map, though, track the quest from the quest menu and put a marker on the spot to help guide you when you jump.

Since the Shifty Shafts location is so far north, you'll want to do your mining fast. The storm closes in quickly in the Shafts area, and it's easy to get caught unawares.

Before you start harvesting, grab some equipment from the nearby area and buildings. It's likely going to be a popular spot as long as the quest keeps popping in people's dailies, and you don't want to be eliminated right away.

You're looking for prominent areas of stone jutting out into the landscape. Grab your harvesting tool, and get to work on it just as you would any other resource. It only takes two or three large stones to clear the quest, so you don't need to linger long unless you need plenty of additional stone for building.
