Following reports that Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick allegedly covered up allegations of harassment and sexual violence, we've seen significant backlash last week. As reported by Wall Street Journal, Kotick's allegedly told the board's executives that he'd resign ‘if he can’t quickly fix’ the issues faced.
Addressing the board last Friday, WSJ states:
Mr. Kotick, who has led Activision for three decades, stopped short of saying he would step down in a Friday meeting with executives of the company’s Blizzard Entertainment unit, but left the possibility open if misconduct issues across the company weren’t fixed “with speed,” these people said.

During this meeting, several executives told Kotick that some employees won't be satisfied unless he resigns. Adding further, WSJ reports that “Mr. Kotick said he was ashamed of some of the incidents that had happened on his watch and apologized for how he has handled the unfolding problems.”
Pressure has mounted in the last week against Kotick, following interventions by PlayStation boss Jim Ryan, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer, and employee protests. We'll keep you informed with further developments when they occur.
