Activision Blizzard has confirmed it'll pay $18 million to settle an ongoing sexual harassment lawsuit. This lawsuit claimed the gaming company had a toxic work culture, where women were often victims of sexual harassment and subject to a sizeable gender pay gap.
Despite approval from the federal court, critics from the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing feel that the amount is too low. Despite this, things are currently set to proceed.

Activision Blizzard Agrees to $18 Million Settlement Over Sexual Harassment Lawsuit
Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard who was accused of taking part in the harassment, said the following to The Washington Post:
“Our goal is to make Activision Blizzard a model for the industry, and we will continue to focus on eliminating harassment and discrimination from our workplace. The court’s approval of this settlement is an important step in ensuring that our employees have mechanisms for recourse if they experienced any form of harassment or retaliation.”
Prior to this, Riot Games also settled their class-action lawsuit by paying out $100 million. Stay tuned for any more updates about the Activision Blizzard lawsuit.
