Fortnite is no rookie when it comes to big crossovers, but this one brings something new: magical, mathematical, and just a little odd.

Adventure Time is officially stepping into the Fortnite universe, and judging by the leaks, teasers, and fan reactions, this could be one of the game’s biggest pop culture mashups to date.

It all started with Epic Games teasing close-up images of Finn and Jake across social media, giving fans just enough to start speculating.

The rumors didn’t last long because the collaboration’s been confirmed, and data miners and leakers have already begun sharing info on the release, bundles, and extra cosmetics.

The full crossover is expected to go live on April 11, meaning the Land of Ooo is just days away from being fully playable in Fortnite. The collab isn’t just dropping one or two characters and calling it a day. Instead, Epic seems to be pulling out every trick in the book.

According to leaked information found in the game’s files, Finn, Jake, Marceline, and Princess Bubblegum will all be getting their own unique bundles. Each character will come with themed cosmetics inspired by their roles and personalities from the show.

On top of all that, every character is rumored to have LEGO-styled variants, tying into Fortnite’s expanding LEGO gameplay mode. The Adventure Time event is part of something bigger. It’s releasing with Fortnite Festival Season 8, which will feature Sabrina Carpenter in the game.

It’s also arriving just after Epic confirmed that the current MultiVersus season will be its last. Warner Bros. owns Adventure Time, and with MultiVersus winding down, many fans believe Warner is now more likely to give its IPs to Fortnite.

Rumor has it this Adventure Time crossover is part of a bigger strategy. DC characters returned to Fortnite at the end of last year, and rumors suggest more could come as Warner Bros. focuses on Epic’s megahit.

Fans are already asking for more Cartoon Network content too, especially Regular Show, which didn’t even make it into MultiVersus but could finally find a home here.

Adventure Time landing in Fortnite feels like the kind of crossover that was always meant to happen.
