LEGO is no stranger to collaborating with some of the biggest video games on the market, and so following a wildly successful run of Mario-themed LEGO sets, it's no wonder the infamous building block toy franchise has broadened its horizons. Pun intended.
Players of Animal Crossing New Horizons know that the game is set on a quaint little island inhabited by talking animals that you can form relationships with and run errands in order to earn some bells. So with these adorable new LEGO figures, you'll be able to play in real time.
The official Nintendo of America Twitter page confirmed today that its cosy island game will be lending its characters to the world of LEGO, and at least eight islanders are due to be immortalised in plastic.
Animal Crossing New Horizons characters coming to LEGO
The teaser trailer, as you can see in the tweet below, was released by Nintendo in October 5. It confirmed that at least eight characters from Animal Crossing New Horizons will be recreated in LEGO's famous and brightly coloured plastic.
Out of those confirmed in the video clip, we have Rosie, Fauna, Marshall (one of the most popular villagers), Kappa, Bunnie, Julian, Isabelle, as well as local entrepreneur Tom Nook.
So now you can bully Tom Nook for his capitalist ways in real life. Or you can give him a full redemption arc. The charm of LEGO toys has always been the fact you can create an entire world of your own, so you can form as many alternate Animal Crossing universes as you please.
We don't have word on a release date for this collab just yet, but be sure to check back regularly as we'll let you know as soon as we have the information! And if you're heading back to the island, be sure to check out our guides on how to get apples, how to get peaches, as well as how to time travel in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
