A Persona 4 remake may finally be on the horizon after what appears to be ATLUS registering a new website, p4re.jp. This has sparked a wave of speculation about the potential title—whether it will be Persona 4 Record, Rerun, or something entirely different—following the remastered Golden version.

The domain registration was filed just a few hours ago in Japan, with the listing secured for a year. This is huge news for Persona fans, as a similar pattern occurred with previous entries—most notably when ATLUS registered p3re.jp just two years ago. Three months later, Persona 3 Reload was officially announced.

The Remake Is Real

Of course, this remains speculation, but given ATLUS' track record, this strongly suggests that a Persona 4 remake is in development. Adding to the evidence, Persona 4’s main vocalist, Shihoko Hirata, was previously spotted recording at an ATLUS studio, fueling rumors of a new project. If we connect the dots, this could be a significant reveal.

It’s about time ATLUS revisited Persona 4, considering the game is nearly two decades old. With Unreal Engine at their disposal, we could see a beautifully reimagined Inaba and a fresh take on everyone’s favorite Murder Mystery Gang.

What remains uncertain is whether ATLUS will base the remake on Golden or return to the original Persona 4 blueprint. Given Golden’s polarizing bonus dungeon, the developers might take the opportunity to refine certain elements to make the game more accessible for newcomers.

Either way, this all but confirms that an official Persona 4 remake reveal could be imminent. Perhaps at this month’s Summer Game Fest? Or maybe during the highly anticipated Switch 2 Direct?
