The recent release of the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) has led to some incredible creations appearing within the battle royale. Ranging from entirely new worlds to variations on other popular titles such as Modern Warfare 2, the options are seemingly limitless.
With Call of Duty moving towards the launch of Season Three, some fans are switching to Fortnite thanks to the incredible recreations of legendary multiplayer maps including Rust and Shipment from the Modern Warfare series.
It appears Activision isn’t happy with the appearance of maps outside of the Call of Duty franchise. The publisher is starting to take down UEFN creations inspired by the series much to the disappointment of creators and those enjoying them.
Call of Duty maps removed from UEFN
On April 3, Full Squad Gaming’s Jake Lucky revealed Activision has begun the process of removing any community creations that bear any resemblance to a Call of Duty title.
The reconstruction of Rust and Shipment come from content creator MistJawaYT, who has since removed all of their Call of Duty-inspired creations in order to evade any potential copyright issues from Activision.
While some are left disappointed by the removal of the maps, Epic Games has previously warned content creators of potential copyright infringements when remodelling maps and modes from other games.

Unfortunately, the removal of CoD content from Fortnite was inevitable. However, the immense potential of UEFN means there’s always a chance creators find some kind of workaround and reintroduce Call of Duty-inspired gameplay without annoying Activision and its legal team.
For fans looking to get their Call of Duty fix, Season Three for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 kicks off on April 12 with plenty of new content. Judging by a recent teaser, there’s plenty of classic content on the way.
