Breakdown

  • Cyberpunk 2077 associate game director Paweł Sasko says players haven't found all the game's secrets yet.
  • Some secrets might be discovered but never shared online, creating a unique experience for individual players.
  • Sasko confirmed there are unused payphone codes in the Phantom Liberty expansion, hinting at more mysteries to uncover.

In a recent interview with IGN at the Game Developers Conference, CD Projekt Red associate game director Paweł Sasko hinted that players have a long road ahead if they want to unearth every secret and easter egg hidden within the sprawling world of Cyberpunk 2077.

"It had a long list, but it didn't have everything." Sasko, referencing a published list compiling the game's known secrets, playfully admitted. He acknowledged the possibility that some secrets might have been discovered but remain undisclosed, left for individual players to experience on their own. "Someone could have found them in their own game and never shared them with anyone," he said, "and we just never saw it."

Owing to the constant stream of online discussions and walkthroughs, some secrets can still slip through the cracks. It’s apparent that Sasko's comment doesn't diminish the power of dedicated online communities.

Take, for instance, Cyberpunk 2077's infamous FF:06:B5 code. This cryptic string has haunted players since launch, sparking countless theories and investigations on its subreddit.

In other news, the collective effort of passionate players has unravelled a surprising side story – one involving master hackers, a cheeky in-game parody of Wolfenstein 3D featuring Johnny Silverhand, and even hints of interdimensional shenanigans potentially tying back to The Witcher universe.

Sasko even offered a specific example where the hunt continues: Phantom Liberty's payphone. He confirmed to IGN that players haven't yet dialled all the possible secret codes hidden within the game.

So, for those determined to unlock every secret Night City has to offer, Sasko's message is clear: keep digging. This statement from Sasko will probably infuriate and motivate players who have persistently been hunting down CD Projekt Red's mysterious Easter Eggs.
