Some Cyberpunk 2077 characters sitting down.

While a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 players are already imagining how sweet life will be when the Phantom Liberty Expansion arrives and they can ditch their old mate Keanu Reeves for a fresh celebrity friend in Idris Elba, some are still chilling in Night City while they wait.

When they’re not busy living the bombastic life of a futuristic fashion model or grabbing a few drinks at The Afterlife before they head home at the end of a long day, many of these chooms can be found shooting or quickhacking their way through dangerous foes to complete a gig for a fixer.

However, if you’re someone who prefers to live a more peaceful existence that allows you to properly appreciate CD Projekt Red’s vision of the future, a new mod might be worth adding to your load order.

Want the chance to take a comfy seat and observe the sights and sounds of Cyberpunk 2077’s metropolis?

The mod in question is called ‘Sit Anywhere’ and is the work of prolific modder NexusGuy999. Some of their previous work has helped bring the likes of interactive smart windows to Night City’s apartments and given the city its own dynamic stock market and news cycle.

This time, they’ve decided to make all of the benches, chairs and sofas you might encounter as you roam the streets of the urban jungle or adventure along the dusty trails of its surrounding Badlands into fully-functional seats.

Once you’ve found one of these lounging locations and looked at it using your scanning optics, you’ll be greeted by a familiar interaction prompt that’ll trigger a sit-down animation and manoeuvre you into a sedentary position from which you can look around to inspect the environment and also get a pretty good glance at your own shoes.

That said, if you’re hoping to be able to use NexusGuy999’s mod to perch yourself on a barstool or slide into a nightclub booth, you’re out of luck, though another recently released mod, Deceptious’ ‘Immersive Bartenders’, should be able to help you out.

If you’re down for being able to chill out in areas that don’t feature pounding tunes or smell like whisky, you’ll first need to grab awpsoleet’s ‘Cyber Engine Tweaks’ and another of NexusGuy999’s works, ‘Native Settings UI’.
