Cyberpunk 2077’s mysterious Patch 2.3 is delayed indefinitely, according to CD Projekt Red, who shared the news on their social media channels. Interestingly, not many fans seem disappointed by the sudden announcement. It’s as if they’re no longer surprised.
Much of the reason fans aren’t shocked is because Cyberpunk 2077 has already been through its fair share of delays and scheduling issues. It was once one of the most delayed games of all time, sparking endless internet debates about game development and all the drama that comes with it.
So, a delay like this doesn’t faze them anymore. At this point, players would rather let CD Projekt Red cook and take their time to get it right.
What’s in Update 2.3?
No one really knows. CD Projekt Red has kept everything under wraps ever since they mentioned they were working on new content for Cyberpunk 2077 after the Nintendo Switch 2 release.
Some fans speculate that it might be new story content with a couple of missions for your character. Others are more grounded, thinking it could be full mod support for consoles.
People aren’t expecting anything on the scale of the acclaimed Phantom Liberty expansion or even Blood and Wine from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. They just want a reason to return to Night City and experience whatever CD Projekt Red has been working on.

When is Update 2.3 Coming Out?
Unfortunately, CD Projekt Red didn’t share a release date. There’s speculation it might be pushed to late 2025 or even early 2026. If the rumors are true and it turns out to be a big update packed with new content, we could be in for something special.
We just need a little patience, chooms.
