Since Diablo 4 arrived early last month, those who approached it with the perfect build in mind and plenty of spare time have been making great progress towards their goal of burying Hell beneath a mountain of corpses.
While some players have taken some time out from grinding to help one of the game’s voice actors find their lines or appreciate the emotional message of a side quest, others have kept their pedal to the metal in order to reach level 100.
With the game’s first season fast approaching, some of the hardcore hellspawn who haven’t been busy creating party finding and enchanting outcome predicting tools for the game have managed to discover a build that can dish out obscene amounts of damage in it.
Have you been hunting for a massively overpowered Diablo 4 build?
As reported by IGN, the build in question first came to prominence via a clip posted to Twitter by streamer Moxsy of it doing an incredible 1.8 billion points of damage per hit, with fellow streamer IBoilerUp having since managed to score a strike that inflicted over 2 billion damage points on a poor foe.
If you’re wondering how these creators are managing to reach such mind-blowing numbers, Moxsy explains in the video below that, in their case, it’s thanks to a Druid build that makes use of the Stormclaw’s Amulet aspect and the Shred skill to imbue attacks inflicted via the Waxing Gibbous axe with both lightning and critical damage.
This creates the possibility of multiplying the amounts of damage scored in different ways every time the build hits a vulnerable enemy, leading to the huge overall damage totals in the clips.
Moxsy also explains that their specific build uses the Grizzly Rage ultimate skill, boosted via the Dire Wolf's Honoured Relic and the Circle of the Rampaging Werebeast, to allow them to spam shred attacks and score even more critical damage.
Given that many players who’ve been playing with Sorcerer builds have recently been complaining that their class of choice is too underpowered, due to a number of perceived issues, odds are you might be seeing a lot more Druids running around whenever you next jump into the game.
