Did Dante’s Voice Actor Just Accidently Leak DMC 6?

Reuben Langdon may have accidentally revealed something Devil May Cry fans weren't meant to know—at least not yet.

During a podcast interview, Langdon, the long-time voice and motion capture actor for Dante from Devil May Cry 3, casually mentioned something that's now sparking widespread speculation.

In discussing Capcom's past decisions, he nonchalantly mentioned Devil May Cry 6 instead of 5. It might've just been a slip of the tongue, but with someone so involved in the franchise, that small detail got people talking pretty quickly.

This becomes even more interesting when you consider the context. Langdon was reflecting on the 2013 reboot (DmC: Devil May Cry) and how fans reacted to it.

He talked about Capcom's risk-taking nature, how they experimented with new ideas through Ninja Theory and eventually circled back to the original tone in Devil May Cry 5.

Then came the line that caught everyone's ears—he said Capcom "came back with Devil May Cry 6…or 5." He didn't make any corrections, and it didn't look like he noticed at all.

And now, people are wondering if he let something out that wasn't public knowledge. It wouldn't be the first time someone connected to a major project said more than they were supposed to.

Here's the deal: Reuben's been in the business for decades, and he knows how the game works. This means either the man made an honest mistake while jumping between thoughts, or the name DMC 6 was top of mind because he's working on it now.

The Devil May Cry anime is getting more attention, and Capcom's pushing hype with side projects, so a new mainline game isn't that far off.

Langdon himself suggested that the anime captures the same vibe fans loved from DMC 3 and could inject fresh energy into the franchise. Capcom hasn't confirmed anything about DMC 6 yet.

But if there's one thing history's taught us about game development leaks—it's that they rarely come out of nowhere.

And when they come from Dante himself? Yep, people pay attention.
