Since they finally received the massive DLC announcement they’d all been craving, Elden Ring players have all been basking in the warm glow of knowing that work on the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is definitely underway.

For those who aren’t busy doing detective work to try and unearth clues as to what the DLC might involve or having a go at recently released soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, now is likely the time to undertake an intense training regimen that’ll refresh and hone your skills in time for the expansion’s arrival.

If you’re in need of a way to spice up your boss battle prep sessions and don’t fancy trying out a voice-controlled run, a group of new mods might be worth adding to your load order.

Want to take on an incredibly gothic guise during your next Elden Ring playthrough?

The first of the mods in question is called ‘Masked Vileblood Set - Noctis' Kitbashes’ and is the work of modder corvianNoctis. Their previous projects have added armour to the game inspired by titles like Silent Hill and Demon’s Souls.

Recently, though, they’ve been releasing a range of outfits which would work perfectly for a Bloodborne-themed build, with the Masked Vileblood set actually having been created via the fusion of several costumes found throughout Yharnam.

Boasting a sharp metal mask with red eyes, a jet-black trench coat and gloves long enough to keep you covered no matter how large your enemies’ blood spurts get, this armour might even stand a chance of intimidating the demigods that inhabit the Lands Between.

If you don’t think that set’s mask looks quite avian enough for your taste, you could also try another of corvianNoctis’ recent mods. Called ‘Crow of Death - Noctis' Kitbashes’ this second set is an edgy modified version of the modder’s Elden Ring port of Dark Souls 3’s Corvian Knight armour.

Or, if you’re looking for something a little more subtle and sneaky, their ‘Accursed Thief Set - Custom Armor Set’, which combines armours from Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring to create a stealthy set ideal for those who prefer to attack from the shadows.

If you’re looking for the ideal weapon to team with any of these outfits, corvianNoctis has also added some Bloodborne weapons, such as the Rakuyo and Blade of Mercy, to the game.
