Elden Ring streamer beats Morgott using motion controls

While they may finally have gotten the massive DLC announcement they’d all been craving, Elden Ring players have little time to bask in the warm glow of knowing that work on the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is definitely underway.

This strange method of navigating through FromSoftware’s interesting realm is currently being used by streamer Luality, who, having previously taken on the game using a dance pad, is now attempting to beat it using motion controls.

Having kicked off the run earlier this month and briefly paused it at various stages to dive into some other games and last week’s Elden Ring Twitch Rivals tournament, Luality picked it back up yesterday with a stream of just over three and a half hours.

While previous streams in the run have seen the likes of Starscourge Radahn and the red wolf of Radagon be smacked into submission by the sword the streamer is carrying for immersion purposes, this latest one featured an intense series of battles with Morgott as its main focus.

Despite a flurry of arm swings inflicting some damage and shakes helping to dodge the omen king’s strikes, Luality’s first few attempts ended in fairly swift defeats, which she wasn’t too daunted by, having seemingly anticipated that it’d take some time to reacquaint herself with how to deploy the control scheme most effectively.

Once these teething troubles were under control, as you can watch above, the streamer embarked on what quickly proved to be her most successful run at Morgott around an hour and a half into the stream, which, with a little patience, eventually ended in a hard-earned victory over the boss.

While the rest of the stream mainly focused on exploration, Luality has suggested that her next target is the infamous Fire Giant, so make sure to tune in if you fancy seeing a massive orange thing get battered.
