Elden Ring streamer is trying to beat Malenia on dance pad and controller simultaneously as part of an unusual challenge run

While they may not have got the massive DLC announcement they wanted out of The Game Awards, Elden Ring players have still had new content to dig into, with the long-awaited Colosseum DLC providing a fresh challenge for those who’re sick of spending their time trying to come up with interesting nicknames for runebears.

However, for the most hardened of warriors, this battle arena clearly isn’t proving difficult enough, with the world of streaming, infamous for producing the likes of drawing pad and one-handed runs through the game’s bosses, already starting to feature the likes of dance pad Colosseum sessions.

One of the streamers who’d attempted such a feat is MissMikkaa, who has spent the past few weeks battling through one of the most interesting Elden Ring playthroughs of all time and is now going toe to toe with the infamous Malenia.

While the streamer struggled a little at the start of the run, spending multiple streams being tormented by fall damage and missed opportunities to heal as she battled Margit, she’s since got the hang of handling a dance pad and controller at the same time, scything her way through a number of bosses, including Starscourge Radahn.

As alluded to at the start of her latest five-hour stream, the streamer has some history with the infamous obstacle now standing in her way, having gone viral via for a clip of her beating Malenia using a dance pad during one of her previous Elden Ring challenge runs.

Starting off her latest tussle with the Blade of Miquella, MissMikkaa made some tweaks to her loadout and key bindings, before traversing the mist to a chorus of good luck wishes from her audience.

The opening clash ended with Malenia quickly scoring the first kill of the stream. Despite this, MissMikkaa concluded that this first foray was: “Not the worst try I could imagine ever happening.” and adding: “That was pretty good I would say.”

Around an hour and a half into the stream, MissMikkaa reached the battle’s second phase for the first time, leading her to have to start a fresh iteration of the gradual process of adjustment that had eventually earned her success in the first phase.

Unfortunately, this strategy wasn’t quite able to yield the elusive simultaneous final kill before the streamer called it a day at around the five-hour mark, though it doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch to say that this triumph could happen pretty early in MissMikkaa’s next Elden Ring session.
