Life in the Commonwealth is certainly interesting, with plenty of NPCs and robots to battle or talk to, plus the occasional terrifying encounter and five-a-side football match awaiting the Sole Survivor.

That said, no matter how big a Fallout fan you may be, sometimes you might find yourself longing for a bit of a change to spice things up.

While you could do this by transforming Fallout 4 into a JRPG, for those who fancy a bit of Capital Wasteland nostalgia, a new mod might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Are you ready to tackle a Commonwealth infested with angry clones?

The mod in question is called ‘Gary - A radroach replacer’ and is the work of modder Morgosus, whose previous work has added a new and fully voice-acted companion into the game and increased the varieties of weird food paste in it.

This time, they’ve taken one of Fallout 3’s most infamous and beloved enemies and shipped copies of him to the Commonwealth in droves, giving you the chance to replicate the authentic Vault 108 experience at various locations throughout Boston, as you can see in the video below.

The mod does this by replacing all of Fallout 4’s radroaches with Gary clones, all of whom will attack you on sight and yell ‘Gary’ in a number of different cadences while they do so.

Though, if you’re not a fan of declaring war on all of Garykind, another of Morgosus’ new mods, called ‘Gary - A Fully Voiced Settler’, might be up your alley.

As you might have guessed, this one gives you the opportunity to recruit a friendly Gary to join your empire of settlements, allowing you to enjoy the gift of Gary whenever you load up the game.

This single peaceful Gary can be found in Concord’s speakeasy, though he will be hanging out with a bunch of less amicable friends, so you may have to do some killing in order to secure his services, assuming that you’re not a master of stealth.
